One of my biggest mistakes in the kitchen is overbaking! I never set a timer and then forget when I have popped my baked good in the oven. I haven't quite found cinders on the baking tray - yet. But there is always time!

I don't know if this qualifies, but every time I make royal icing it ends up with everything in the kitchen, including me ..being covered with the stuff. It's like it throws itself out of the bowl in a sort of sticky tantrum!
